By inserting very fine sterilized disposable needles into meridians (the channels of energy) an acupuncturist stimulates the body's own healing response, helping to restore its natural balance/homeostasis. As the energy of each organ travels and affects different areas of the body, an acupuncturist may needle an area apparently unrelated to the location of the symptoms. By leaving the needles in for approximately 20 minutes, a circuit of energy will be created which will help to correct any imbalances, thereby bringing relief to the patient.
Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches that the Qi in our bodies circulates through the Meridians or energy channels, and is the power or force that fuels and drives all physiological and organic functions. Chinese medicine identifies 12 internal organs, each having a correspondent meridian or channel through which the Qi of the organ flows. We need to understand that Qi and energy are not the same, but each is a component of the other.
The flow of Qi can be disturbed by a number of factors. These include emotional states such as anxiety, stress, anger, fear or grief. Other factors include poor nutrition, climate, hereditary factors, infections, toxins or injuries.

Cupping
|
|
Cupping is an ancient Chinese method as a means to open the meridians of the body. Meridians are the lines of energy flow to every part of the body and through every organ and tissue. Cupping therapy opens the meridians and releases blood flow in the body.
Cupping therapy can affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing tissues to release toxins and helping to activate the lymphatic system and clear colon blockages. This helps to activate and clear veins and arteries as well as improve varicose veins.

Tu-Nai
|
|
Tu–nai or Chinese Therapeutic Massage uses finger pressure, stretching and leverage to stimulate the channels and acupuncture points. It is often used in conjunction with acupuncture, and is not only an effective treatment for musculo-skeletal problems, such as lower-back pain, frozen shoulder, slipped discs and fractures. Tu–nai can also be effective for many other conditions, particularly digestive problems and insomnia.

Fingernail & Tongue Analysis
The relationship of the tongue to the organs of the body can determine a patient's health condition. The tongue relates to the 5-element system by analyzing the color, shape, vitality, coating and moisture level as well as examining the veins underneath the tongue for toxins in the body.
A person's tongue is a consistent health tool to help examine their health, as well as their health progression. A healthy person should have eight lunulae
(small moon like white areas at the bottom of the nails.)
The presence of the lunulae represents the mitochondrial oxygen transport system. It extends to a particular meridian line, to an area of the body it represents. Ridges, colors, shape and spots are all observed in this analysis.
